Hannah is an arts and culture writer and editor living on unceded Gadigal land, with a particular interest in stories for and about young women and the arts.

She has written for the Sydney Morning Herald, ABC Arts, The Saturday Paper, ABC TV’s Art Works and youth media publications PEDESTRIAN.TV, POPSUGAR Australia, Junkee, Punkee and UTS student magazine Vertigo. She has also written for culture and street press such as The Music, Concrete Playground, ArtsHubBroadsheet and Purple Sneakers, and literary and feminist journals, including The Lifted Brow and Lip.

Hannah writes on subjects including theatre, comedy, books, pop culture, podcasts, reality TV, music, sex and dating, and women’s health, and has interviewed people including Kim Gordon, Yael Stone and Michael Fassbender. She is interested in the way cultural products — whether high-end theatre productions or commercial TV — reflect and create the world in which we live.

Her short fiction has been published in Seizure, Visible Ink and the UTS Writers’ Anthology, and was included in art exhibition THE BREAKUP at 107 Projects. Her short stories earned her a highly commended in the Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards.

She has previously worked as Arts Editor at Sydney Morning Herald, National Arts Editor for The Music and Online Editor for The Lifted Brow, and has edited for Sydney Story Factory, Vertigo, UTS Writers' Anthology and Purple Sneakers

She has appeared at UTS Library, Digital Writers' Festival and National Young Writers' Month, performed at Surry Hills Festival, Friend in Hand Hotel and Late Night Library, and been a guest on ABC Radio, the Friendship Rose podcast, and on 2SER 107.3. 

Hannah has worked with Pan Macmillan's former digital imprint, Momentum, and boutique literary agency, The Naher Agency, now Left Bank Literary. She has also worked as a copywriter for the now-closed digital agency Holler and Switched on Media, now AKQA Media, creating content for brands such as Durex, Dove and Heineken. 

She is available for freelance and contract feature and copywriting, as well as subediting and proofreading opportunities.
